Embedded Software Test Engineer / HSIT – ISO 26262

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work arrangement. Candidates must be located in or around Ottawa.

CS Group Canada, a subsidiary of CS Group within Sopra Steria Group, develops and certifies safety-critical systems for aerospace, electrical, and autonomous driving applications.

What you will do

• Define and execute embedded software test plans and test cases.
• Conduct test campaigns, analyze results, and prepare test reports and documentation.
• Maintain traceability between design requirements and testing activities.
• Track defects and issues in JIRA and identify their root causes.
• Support integration and verification activities within an HSIT team in an automotive environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software testing or verification and validation.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with QA and CI/CD tools, including GitHub or GitLab, runners, and checkers.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 or a similar regulated environment, and RTOS.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Ability to build and flash images onto embedded targets.
• Must be located in or around Ottawa.

• Experience with Pytest.
