Construction Manager, Data Centre Delivery (AI Data Centers)

Location: Site-based at an Nscale data center campus in Texas, with up to 75% travel between multiple project sites; on-site presence required during critical milestones.

Salary: $140,000–$200,000 USD base salary, with possible bonus, equity, and/or commission programs.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day construction across civil, structural, envelope, and MEP packages through practical completion.
• Direct general contractors, trade partners, and equipment vendors while coordinating site logistics, sequencing, and interfaces.
• Coordinate installation of substations, switchgear, UPS, generators, chillers, and liquid-cooling systems.
• Own site health and safety, inspections, QA/QC audits, incident investigations, snagging, and defect closeout.
• Track program progress, critical-path risks, budgets, valuations, variations, and project issues.
• Lead Level 1–5 integrated systems testing and hand over documentation, as-builts, and O&M manuals to Data Centre Operations.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of construction management experience, including at least 3 years leading mission-critical builds such as data centers, semiconductor fabs, or large industrial facilities.
• Direct experience managing General Construction Managers, program controls, scheduling and cost functions, EHS leadership, and multi-site subcontractor teams.
• Strong command of program-level CPM scheduling, budget and cost control, and contract administration.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret complete civil, structural, architectural, and MEP construction document sets.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between multiple project sites.
• Integrity, ownership, respectful conduct under pressure, transparent communication, reliability, and a team-first attitude are required; references may address character and conduct.

Nice to have

• Experience overseeing hyperscale, colocation, or Tier III/IV data center construction programs.
• Familiarity with DCIM systems, raised-floor environments, and portfolio-level critical power and cooling infrastructure.
• Experience with program-level reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI.
• PMP, CCM, or equivalent credential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
• Experience with MS Project or Primavera P6.
