Engineering Manager - Frontend (France)

What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance, scalable, responsive user interfaces.
• Optimize frontend performance and deliver smooth user experiences.
• Build real-time capabilities for concurrent editing that remain resilient to network disruptions through efficient caching and a single source of truth.
• Translate functional requirements into simple designs and high-quality code while addressing product and customer needs.
• Coach up to six direct reports, provide guidance, deliver feedback, and create career development plans.
• Participate in performance decisions, salary-raise calibration, under-performance remediation, and optional engineering-structure projects.

Requirements

• Software engineering experience on a product in production, evaluated at a senior level during the interview; this usually means 7–8 years of experience.
• At least 2–3 years of people-management experience.
• Proven experience with frontend technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, React, Vue, and Angular.
• Strong team spirit, a problem-solving attitude, and a focus on user experience.
• Humility and willingness to grow regardless of seniority.
• Fluent English required; French is not required.

Nice to have

• Experience leading ad hoc projects such as technical demos, All Hands meetings, or improvements to the skill-leveling matrix.
