Software Engineering Intern - AI Platform Excellence

Location: Amsterdam or nearby cities in the Netherlands; able to commute to the office at least twice a week

hirify.global is hiring an intern to support its AI platform engineering work.

What you will do

• Build reports and dashboards showing AI tool usage and costs across hirify.global.
• Investigate how engineers can achieve good results from AI tools while using fewer tokens, and share practical guidance and tooling.
• Improve the model gateway through usage tracking and easier experimentation with new models.
• Evaluate AI developer tools and document their effectiveness.
• Support pilots of AI-assisted engineering workflows by collecting feedback and usage data.
• Build iteratively with agile methodologies while working with platform engineers and a mentor.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a Dutch university until at least September 2027 for the full internship duration.
• Must be located in Amsterdam or a nearby city and able to commute to the office at least twice a week.
• Available for at least 32 hours per week.
• Good Python skills and solid Computer Science fundamentals.
• Some experience using AI coding assistants or LLM APIs, including through coursework or a side project.
• Basic knowledge of data work with SQL, pandas, or similar tools.
• Comfortable with written and/or verbal communication in English.
• Curious about AI and eager to learn.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitHub Actions, APIs, or a cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
