AI Engineer - Cloud (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht, Netherlands. Candidates must be located in the Netherlands and have the legal right to work there; relocation from another country is not considered.

Gross monthly salary: €4,105–€5,862 for a 36-hour work week.

What you will do

• Accelerate adoption of Coding Assistants, starting with GitHub Copilot, across engineering teams.
• Demonstrate Agentic Engineering through hands-on experiments and proofs of concept.
• Build and deploy dashboards and automation solutions to track usage, KPIs, and operational activity.
• Coach engineers on AGENTS.md, spec-driven development, instructions, and token-usage optimization.
• Work with Security teams to evaluate new features and manage operational tasks such as licenses and support queries.

Requirements

• Experience designing and deploying serverless solutions on AWS or Azure with Terraform.
• Practical experience with AI in the software development lifecycle, coding agents, and GitHub Copilot or comparable assistants.
• Software engineering fundamentals with a focus on Python, plus production experience deploying, operating, and scaling systems.
• Knowledge of cloud, DevOps, infrastructure as code, APIs, event-driven systems, integrations, and systems design.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum and product-oriented delivery, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of AI governance, security, privacy, prompt injection, leakage, and data protection.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Databricks.
• GitHub Enterprise administration experience.
