Analytics Consultant (Healthcare)

Location: National Remote within the continental United States; California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii are excluded. Other locations: El Paso, Texas; Dallas, Texas.

Salary: $69,800–$125,900 per year, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus plan.

What you will do

• Construct forecasts, recommendations, and strategic or tactical plans using business data and market knowledge.
• Create specifications for reports and analyses based on business needs and available data.
• Query internal and external data sources, produce datasets and reports, and identify trends and patterns.
• Develop healthcare and insurance analyses, including medical algorithms, expenditures, outcomes, and cost-containment strategies.
• Provide analytic support and consulting to commercial clients, clinical and business stakeholders, and senior leaders.
• Lead or support cross-functional initiatives and advise decision-makers on population health and insurance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience in healthcare services, statistical analysis, insurance industry economics, or a related field; or a master’s degree in a related field; or 6 years of relevant experience.
• High proficiency querying a wide variety of internal and external data sources to generate meaningful insights.
• Strong skills in SQL, R, and Python.
• Ability to create dynamic, visually engaging dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong business intelligence and ability to take a business case from inception through customer or partner execution.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to champion initiatives and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Project management methodology experience.
• Healthcare industry experience across payor, provider, pharmacy, public health, or epidemiology.
• Experience with version control or collaborative tools such as GitHub.
• Experience with automation tools such as Alteryx.
