Manager, Healthcare Analytics (AI)

Location: Hybrid opportunity based out of the New York office; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Salary: $140,000–$155,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end analyses of medical and pharmacy claims to evaluate program impact, cost trends, and clinical outcomes.
• Apply and defend causal-inference methods for observational data, including difference-in-differences, matching and weighting, instrumental variables, and regression discontinuity.
• Stress-test findings through placebo tests, pre-trend analysis, negative controls, sensitivity checks, and specification-curve analyses.
• Translate results into executive summaries, partner methodology appendices, and plain-language explanations while aligning expectations with sales, client success, actuarial, and data teams.
• Build reproducible, auditable analytical frameworks for recurring studies and contribute to peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
• Use Claude and Claude Code to accelerate coding, data cleaning, QA, documentation, and reporting; coach analysts on appropriate human review.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, health economics, biostatistics, or related applied research, including people management or project leadership.
• Strong causal-inference expertise covering difference-in-differences, matching and weighting, instrumental variables, and regression discontinuity, with judgment about applicability to observational claims data.
• Hands-on experience with medical and pharmacy claims, including ICD-10, CPT, NDC, adjudication, enrollment and eligibility logic, and claims-data cleaning.
• Evidence of work that has withstood external scrutiny through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, or comparable research.
• Proficiency in SQL and R or Python.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including direct presentations to clients and executives and defense of methodology under scrutiny.
• Practical experience with AI tools such as Claude and Claude Code, with judgment about when full human diligence is required for client, regulatory, or published work.
• Alignment with Twin’s purpose of improving chronic metabolic health.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with value-based care, chronic disease management, or employer and payer program evaluation.
• Familiarity with total cost of care analyses, PMPM and PMPY metrics, and healthcare economics.
• Experience building reproducible analytics workflows with dbt and version-controlled R or Python projects.
• Familiarity with value-based and outcomes-based contracts, including shared-savings and risk-based arrangements.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake.
