Innovation Initiatives and Engagement Manager

Location: US-CA-Santa Clara, United States. Full-time onsite role with 25% travel required.

Salary: $172,512–$269,550 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Execute internal and external research programs by defining scopes, deliverables, owners, milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate internal research teams, business units, external research partners, and supporting functions including Finance, Legal, IP Counsel, and Procurement.
• Track commitments, deliverables, risks, dependencies, delays, decisions, and action items through completion.
• Manage innovation summits, R&D seminars, innovation awards, and associate engagement initiatives.
• Administer internal innovation grants, including submissions, reviews, funding coordination, milestone tracking, and progress reporting.
• Maintain dashboards, consolidated calendars, status reports, and consistent operating processes for the initiative portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in program management, project management, R&D operations, or a related execution-focused role.
• Experience managing multiple cross-functional initiatives and delivering results through disciplined planning and follow-through.
• Experience tracking milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including influencing without direct authority and constructively holding stakeholders accountable.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in a scientific or technology-driven organization.
• Experience coordinating associate engagement programs, scientific events, or internal innovation initiatives.
• PMP or similar certification.
