2027 Summer Internship (US) - Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid work, three days per week in the Holtsville, New York office, United States

Salary: USD $30.00–$33.00 per hour

What you will do

• Develop software for physical inventory on Zebra devices as part of an end-to-end solution covering full-stack services, servers, Android scanners, web reports, and databases.
• Add detailed logging for the cycle-count product and develop customer-facing API calls for cycle-count and RFID solutions.
• Migrate APIs to a self-service customer registration process and improve API creation and administration.
• Design and build self-service API registration workflows.
• Support data consumption and AI learning for new AI components, including helpdesk chatbots and dynamic AI responses to data queries.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar degree program.
• Anticipated graduation date between 2027 and 2029.
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Courses or a minor in Cybersecurity or Artificial Intelligence.
• Experience with Java, Python, ASP.NET, GitHub, and JIRA.
• Experience with C#, SQL, HTML/CSS, XAML, JavaScript, R, RISC-V, ASP.NET 10, Web APIs, Node, React, PyTorch, WinUI, or RabbitMQ.
• Clear verbal and written communication, adaptability, learning agility, and willingness to learn new tools or methods.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with technology solutions.
• Commitment to ethical behavior and confidentiality.
