Insurance Technology & AI Analytics Intern, Summer 2027 (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Chicago, IL, with Dallas, TX listed as another location; United States.

Salary: $25.00–$30.00 hourly.

What you will do

• Assist with developing and testing AI-powered tools, automation solutions, and insurance technology platforms.
• Analyze insurance, claims, and risk datasets to identify trends and business insights.
• Build reports, dashboards, visualizations, and operational reporting solutions using business intelligence tools.
• Participate in requirements gathering, user interviews, solution design, and documentation of business processes and technical solutions.
• Research Generative AI, machine learning, automation, and other emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with Risk, Claims, Operations, Data Analytics, and Technology teams, and present findings to business leaders.

Requirements

• Current junior undergraduate student at an accredited four-year institution.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of databases and data analysis concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, SQL, or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and modern software development practices.
• Exposure to insurance, financial services, or risk management concepts.
