Intern, Full Stack Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote intern role associated with Rochester, New York, United States of America; a relatively quiet workspace and participation in online meetings are required.

Salary: $19.00–$32.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Participate in agile user-story grooming, sprint planning, daily scrum sessions, and two-week sprint delivery.
• Create and update JavaScript and Python APIs supporting new application functionality.
• Develop web features with React and iOS mobile features with React Native.
• Apply AI to facilitate development and follow documented coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
• Participate in GitHub pull requests and code reviews with senior engineers.
• Perform manual and automated QA testing and troubleshoot application issues and code defects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a similar program.
• Completed coursework using a high-level programming language such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Some knowledge of relational database systems and comfort working with JSON data.
• Course or project experience involving REST APIs and web or mobile user interfaces.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability and interest to collaborate with team members.
• Positive attitude, receptiveness to feedback, and passion for applying technology to real-world problems.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and participate in online meetings from a relatively quiet space.
