Senior CAD Technician/Specialist (AutoCAD Civil 3D)

What you will do

• Draft topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS, right-of-way, and utility survey drawings according to agency standards.
• Process field data and create accurate base maps and digital terrain models.
• Ensure deliverables comply with NYC agency CAD standards, coordinate systems, and layer naming conventions.
• Collaborate with field crews, project managers, and engineers to maintain data consistency and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare record maps, easement maps, as-built drawings, and legal description exhibits.
• Manage CAD files and survey data across multiple projects and support proposal and QA/QC documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CAD drafting experience in land surveying or civil design.
• Required proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with MicroStation.
• Experience with New York City and New York State agency projects, including MTA, DDC, DEP, DOT, and Parks.
• Strong understanding of survey data processing, coordinate systems, and geospatial references.
• Successful completion of fit-for-work testing, including drug and alcohol testing, is required.

• Ability to work independently while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Associate degree or higher in Surveying, Civil Technology, or a related field.
