Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Lean Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead process design, workflow and layout optimization, tooling improvements, and equipment utilization to maximize plant efficiency and meet TAKT time requirements.
• Support new product introductions by reviewing specifications, bid proposals, engineering changes, manufacturability, tooling needs, product costing, and labor routings.
• Plan, justify, procure, set up, and troubleshoot capital equipment, including CNC programming and tool design and selection.
• Lead Kaizen events, 5S initiatives, scrap reduction, line balancing, and Total Productive Maintenance programs.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Materials, Safety, and Design teams to resolve manufacturing issues and mentor operations personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in an industrial production plant environment.
• Experience with Lean or Flow Manufacturing, formal problem-solving methods, financial controls and costing, and labor routings.
• Working knowledge of CNC programming and tool design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, lead projects, and present technical information effectively.
• Ability to work onsite in a plant environment across flexible shift schedules when required to support production teams and meetings.
• Ability to travel on a limited basis as needed.
