Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack - Portal Platform

What you will do

• Design and deliver platform-level software projects from conception through launch, collaborating with senior engineers across the organization.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs powering customer, end-user, and demo portal experiences.
• Build reusable frontend libraries, design systems, developer tooling, and micro-frontend capabilities that accelerate product development.
• Own infrastructure concerns including CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, observability, and production operations.
• Drive frontend performance, accessibility, security, and quality standards across portal applications.
• Mentor junior engineers, contribute to knowledge sharing, and help teams deliver frontend changes across different areas.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including owning and delivering complex cross-team projects end-to-end.
• Deep expertise in React and modern frontend architecture, including state management, performance tuning, build tooling, and design systems.
• Strong backend proficiency in Python/Django or TypeScript, with experience designing APIs and data models for scale.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and operating production systems.
• Ability to influence technical direction through RFCs, architecture decisions, or platform migrations.
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising technical standards through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Strong written and verbal communication, particularly in distributed and asynchronous environments.
• Ability to balance technical debt with platform-level feature delivery and a demonstrated drive to increase impact and responsibility.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and performance optimization.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or another related engineering field.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Python/Django, React, and Postgres.
• Experience and eagerness to use AI development tools.
• Experience with large-scale web frontend applications and frontend build tools.
• Experience with micro-frontend architecture patterns.
• Experience with web security, including the OWASP Top 10.
