Senior/Staff Full Stack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Seattle, WA or McLean, VA (preferred), or remote within the USA. Some travel to customers may be required.

Salary: $180,000–$240,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build full-stack features spanning responsive interfaces, administrative tools, backend services, data models, APIs, and production integrations for RCF/RCP partners.
• Integrate partner applications and agents with Trase OS APIs and SDKs, external APIs, MCP tools, and model-provider endpoints, including clear examples and documentation.
• Build reliable agent and workflow integrations with asynchronous execution, event streaming, state handling, retries, timeouts, error recovery, and data-integrity controls.
• Implement usable interfaces for agent configuration, connections, policies, run reviews, logs, traces, costs, and audit history.
• Deliver authentication, authorization, role-based access, secrets integration, audit events, testing, deployment validation, telemetry, and production support.
• Document architecture and troubleshooting, support releases and upgrades, conduct partner walkthroughs, share reusable solutions, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience shipping and supporting production applications, with scope and technical leadership appropriate to Senior or Staff level.
• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack development across modern web frontends, backend services, APIs, and databases.
• Strong frontend skills with TypeScript/JavaScript and React, Next.js, or comparable frameworks, including state management, API integration, and accessible user experiences.
• Strong backend skills in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Java, or a similar language, including API design, service integration, validation, and error handling.
• Experience with data models, relational databases, migrations, caching, and asynchronous or event-driven processing.
• Production experience with authentication, authorization, secure API access, secrets handling, and audit logging.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing, code review, Git, containers, CI/CD, and deploying or troubleshooting applications in cloud or Kubernetes environments.
• Ability to debug browser, service, API, and data layers using logs, metrics, and traces; translate ambiguous customer requirements into maintainable solutions; and produce useful documentation.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools for implementation, testing, troubleshooting, or code review with careful validation of resulting changes.

Nice to have

• Full-stack experience supporting national security, defense, federal agencies, or other government programs.
• Active U.S. government security clearance.
• Experience with STIG hardening, NIST controls, RMF/ATO evidence, FedRAMP, or DoD impact-level environments.
• Experience with Keycloak, OAuth/OIDC, fine-grained access controls, and sensitive-data controls.
• Experience building AI/LLM applications, agent integrations, RAG, tool/MCP connections, evaluations, or workflow systems such as Temporal.
• Customer-facing or forward-deployed engineering experience across multiple partner organizations.
• Experience adapting applications for government cloud, restricted-network, or on-premises deployments, including Second Front or comparable federal delivery platforms.
