Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in the New York, Austin, King of Prussia, or Scottsdale office.

Base salary: $135K–$145K, plus eligibility for the Company Bonus Pool and new hire equity.

What you will do

• Translate strategic initiatives and stakeholder requirements into actionable, buildable product features.
• Define and execute ML strategy, algorithms, research models, predictive analysis, and AI-BI tooling with the Technical Director and data engineering team.
• Partner with developers to break product requirements into tasks with functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Communicate plans and rationales, provide iterative development feedback, identify bugs, and assist with resolution.
• Complete functional testing and provide initial product sign-off before end-user verification.
• Develop processes and tools to track usage trends and inform future product development.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in data science or a closely related field.
• 2–3+ years of Product Management experience.
• Ability to define and plan an overall ML strategy with the Technical Director and to define and write algorithms.
• Exceptional business and systems analysis skills.
• Ability to write or design statistical programs in Python and/or R.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Product, Engineering, and QA teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment and meet deadlines under tight time constraints.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interface with internal stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Data warehousing experience with Snowflake or Databricks.
• Actuarial experience.
