Staff Data Scientist

Location: New York, NY; telecommuting permitted

Salary: $115,835–$175,000

What you will do

• Apply advanced quantitative and statistical methods to support business model development and product innovation.
• Develop and implement Bayesian models and stochastic simulations for insights and predictions.
• Analyze user behavior and system performance.
• Manage projects end-to-end, including data extraction, cleaning, preparation, model development, validation, and deployment.
• Design proof-of-concept applications to operationalize and demonstrate modeling results.
• Prepare and deliver reports and presentations on methodologies, progress, and findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Experience completing at least two projects using Bayesian inference, stochastic modeling, or both in academic or professional settings.
• Demonstrated experience developing high-quality functional or object-oriented code.
• Approximately 10,000 lines of code written in Python, R, or another programming language suitable for data analytics.
