Senior BI Analyst (AI)

Location: Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; Sunnyvale, CA; Bellevue, WA; or Dallas, TX

Base salary: $75,000–$110,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and maintain finance data models supporting planning, forecasting, reporting, and close processes.
• Replace manual data loads and spreadsheet workflows with repeatable data pipelines.
• Design dashboards and reports for close, budget-versus-actuals, forecasting, and executive reporting.
• Define and govern finance and business metrics and reconcile reporting with source systems and the general ledger.
• Resolve data issues and improve documentation, testing, version control, and data quality.
• Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Data Engineering to convert finance questions into data requirements and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or financial analysis, including at least 3 years writing SQL in a production setting.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and performance tuning on large datasets.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, including star schemas, conformed dimensions, slowly changing dimensions, semantic layers, and data governance.
• Experience building dashboards and reports with a modern BI tool such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Sigma.
• Strong finance fundamentals covering the three financial statements, P&L structure, budgeting and forecasting cycles, budget-versus-actuals analysis, and month-end close.
• Ability to reconcile data to the general ledger, explain variances to finance stakeholders, communicate technical trade-offs to finance partners, and explain finance logic to engineers.
• Deep familiarity with AI tools, skills, and agents, including judgment about when to apply AI and when human review is required.
• Strong ownership and care when changing finance data because stakeholders rely on its accuracy.
• Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, eligibility without export authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining the required U.S. authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience in FP&A, Finance Systems, or Finance Operations at a high-growth or public company.
• Familiarity with ERP and CRM data such as NetSuite and Salesforce.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Python, dbt, or similar data transformation tools.
• Experience in the cloud or technology industry.
