Senior Software Developer (Mass Messaging & Notifications)

hirify.global is a growing international company developing a mission-critical emergency communication platform.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain multi-channel emergency notifications across SMS, email, voice, and mobile push.
• Integrate messaging providers including Twilio, SendGrid, Azure Communication Services, FCM, and APNs.
• Build scalable asynchronous and message-driven architectures with queues, workers, retries, idempotency, deduplication, failover, and delivery tracking.
• Support SMS compliance, email authentication and deliverability, recipient audiences, multilingual templates, and directory synchronization.
• Develop backend services with Node.js, GraphQL, MySQL, Redis, and MQTT, and contribute to Vue 3 or React interfaces.
• Deploy and troubleshoot containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm; write automated tests, maintain GitHub Actions workflows, and collaborate on production solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including delivery and support of at least one production software product.
• Strong hands-on experience building and operating production messaging, notification, or alerting systems at scale, including systems serving thousands of recipients.
• Experience with messaging providers, reliable delivery patterns, queues, workers, retries, idempotency, deduplication, provider failover, and throughput optimization.
• Knowledge of SMS compliance, including opt-in/opt-out, 10DLC, and toll-free registration, plus email deliverability practices including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, bounce handling, and monitoring.
• Experience with mobile push notifications using FCM and APNs, and with data models for audiences, recipient groups, multilingual templates, and delivery tracking.
• Strong backend development with Node.js and GraphQL APIs; working proficiency with Vue 3 or React. TypeScript is a plus.
• Experience with MySQL, Redis, MQTT or similar publish/subscribe systems, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Linux, networking, TCP/UDP, TLS, WebSockets, and packet capture analysis.
• Experience writing automated unit and end-to-end tests, and working with GitHub Actions, Git, and pull-request workflows.
• Daily experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, with the ability to review and correct generated code; strong problem-solving, technical ownership, and independent delivery from design through production.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
