Proposals Development Associate I (Lab Services)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; remote or office work. The role requires willingness to travel at least 5% of the time internationally and domestically.

What you will do

• Lead, coordinate, and prepare customer-focused proposals, budgets, and client grids for new business opportunities.
• Ensure proposals contain all required information and are delivered within specified timeframes.
• Chair kick-off, budget, and strategy meetings and coordinate relevant participants.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Project Management, Laboratory Operations, Scientific Affairs, sales, proposals, and operations teams.
• Prepare proposal budgets, assumptions, specifications, and budgets for contracts supporting new business awards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Science or Business subject.
• Previous professional experience in a CRO, pharmaceutical, or healthcare organisation within a laboratory environment.
• Ability to evaluate RFPs, identify critical issues and questions, and work accurately under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent numeracy, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to read and understand clinical trial protocols and schedules of events, with basic knowledge of associated testing.
• Prior proposals experience, including understanding industry cost drivers and costing algorithms.
• Ability and willingness to travel at least 5% of the time, including international and domestic travel by air and car.
