Mechanical Engineer Water Systems (Water Treatment)

What you will do

• Manage and participate in execution of mechanical and chemical subsystems for power plant projects, including chemical sampling and dosing systems and water treatment packages.
• Evaluate customer contracts, specifications, and requirements and prepare technical specifications, chemical operation concepts, and inquiry documentation.
• Coordinate and optimize interfaces across piping, electrical, instrumentation and control, and layout disciplines.
• Supervise contractor schedules and costs while reporting engineering hours, deadlines, quality, and costs for the assigned scope.
• Participate in design reviews and review contractors’ engineering, manufacturing, and quality documentation.
• Manage claims, negotiations, and troubleshooting with customers, contractors, and internal project teams.

Requirements

• College degree in mechanical, process, or chemical engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, specializing in mechanical or chemical water treatment systems.
• Several years of professional experience in plant engineering, supplier handling, and execution of international projects; power generation experience is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of products, plant components, materials, water chemistry, and industrial power plant and Combined Heat and Power solution markets.
• Strong customer focus and the ability to adapt strategies and actions to a dynamic environment.
• Self-motivation, high energy drive, business acumen, and the ability to deliver solutions aligned with budget, quality, and timelines.
• Excellent organizational skills and intercultural sensitivity for working in international teams.
• Proficiency in English and willingness to travel for business.
