Operations (Broadcast)

Location: Romania; onsite work at the modern office at Plaza Romania Offices.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee installations, upgrades, maintenance, and ongoing support for studio and broadcast systems.
• Distribute tasks, monitor timelines, and maintain high operational standards across technical operations.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot faults, and document resolutions in Jira or other systems.
• Lead technical R&D by evaluating and testing emerging technologies with the video team to improve production workflows.
• Maintain and audit the studio asset inventory and ensure equipment remains operational.
• Coordinate with Studio, Production, IT, Content, and other departments on project needs and production schedules.

Requirements

• At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience with studio infrastructure, including video/audio routing, broadcast automation systems, signal monitoring, and fault isolation.
• Strong project management, communication, coordination, and supervision skills for complex installations and technical operations.
• In-depth knowledge of video signal delivery chains, including IP, SDI, HDMI, and other relevant formats.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with structured cabling installation, cable laying, and patching, including LAN, SDI, and power systems.
• Practical knowledge of sound, video, and lighting systems in live studio or broadcast environments; strong networking skills with switches, VLANs, and IP addressing; and knowledge of production electrical systems.
• Ability to work with technical documentation, system schematics, and project drawings.
• Good understanding of Windows and Linux environments, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience in broadcast studios, live event production, or TV/media environments.
• Familiarity with video-over-IP technologies, cloud streaming platforms, and modern encoding and decoding solutions.
• Experience analysing and improving workflows and implementing new tools and technologies.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar ticketing and documentation tools.
• Interest in mentoring junior team members and improving internal documentation and standards.
