Security Specialist Senior - WIAM Governance, Architecture & Risk Advisory Lead (IAM)

Location: In-office in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL; Denver, CO; Dallas, TX; or Phoenix, AZ, United States

Base salary: $112,000–$249,600 per year; incentive eligible based on company, business, and/or individual performance.

What you will do

• Define and evolve the enterprise WIAM governance framework, including policy alignment, control design standards, and the operating model.
• Establish and lead centralized governance across IAM domains and processes, aligning issues, risks, controls, and policies.
• Identify systemic risks, prioritize remediation, improve control sustainability, and monitor governance KPIs, scorecards, and maturity metrics.
• Provide IAM architecture guidance and risk and control consulting to engineering, operations, business partners, and senior leaders.
• Lead audit readiness, regulatory alignment, internal and external assessments, and enterprise control implementation strategies.
• Mentor junior team members and promote consistent governance practices across the organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IAM together with cybersecurity governance, risk, controls, audit, or related security leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in IAM governance, risk management, controls, and regulatory expectations.
• Experience designing and scaling enterprise governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of control design, effectiveness testing, and audit defense.
• Ability to connect policy, risk, and control execution across complex environments.
• Advanced analytical skills, including trend analysis and risk-based decision-making.
• Strong leadership, influencing, communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills across all levels.
• Experience in highly regulated environments; financial services experience is preferred.
• Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 8+ years of industry-relevant experience for this level; comparable education, certifications, and experience may be considered instead of a degree.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGRC, or equivalent governance and risk credentials.
• Master's degree, PhD, or additional relevant certifications.
• Experience with data security, incident response, information security, network security, security audit, security awareness, security operations, security policies, and vulnerability management.
