Senior Consultant (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York City; management is expected to work onsite at least three days per week.

Base salary: $130,600–$135,700 annually, plus an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end cybersecurity projects or sub-projects within complex and international engagements, including reporting to managers and clients.
• Contribute to business development by designing commercial proposals and identifying new opportunities and clients.
• Manage client relationships and act as a cybersecurity expert for assigned engagements.
• Manage consultants, validate deliverables, evaluate achievements, and develop their technical and soft skills.
• Contribute to internal learning initiatives, cybersecurity events, publications, webinars, and professional industry activities.

Requirements

• Cybersecurity or related degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 3 years of experience with a consulting firm or cybersecurity solutions, services, or integration provider.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards, norms, and reference systems, including ISO 270xx, NIST, NYDFS, and FFIEC.
• Successful project experience and solid knowledge of at least two of the eight listed cybersecurity offerings: Strategy, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Data Protection, Offensive Security, Resilience, and Training.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, writing, and presentation skills.
• General knowledge of IP networks, Unix/Linux, Windows and/or macOS, AWS, Azure and/or GCP, web servers, databases, middleware, and cryptography.
• Familiarity with Endpoint Security, VPN, VSX, Proxy/Reverse Proxy, EDR, IAM, MDM, DLP, CASB, and Office 365 Security.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain an industry or cybersecurity certification. Applicants without certifications may enter hirify.global's internal Cyber Training program to prepare for certification.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States throughout employment; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

• Knowledge of Blockchain.
• Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, OSCP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, SANS certifications, ISO certifications, AWS Certified Security, or Microsoft Azure security certification.
