Commercial Solution Engineer - Acquisition

What you will do

• Partner with account sales teams and channel partners to understand customer needs and support technical evaluations.
• Present Snowflake’s technology and vision to executive and technical audiences through presentations, demos, proofs of concept, design, and implementation.
• Solve customer-specific business problems, translate product capabilities into solutions, and build technical champions to drive technical wins.
• Present roadmap features, understand competitive and complementary technologies, and position Snowflake effectively.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and implementation partners on product improvement, joint architectures, and account strategies.
• Represent Snowflake at industry and customer events and continuously learn from customer engagements.

Requirements

• Sales engineering or solution architecture experience in a SaaS environment, or relevant experience in analytics, data science, data engineering, or a related industry.
• Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including impromptu whiteboarding, presentations, and demos.
• Understanding of and experience with data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.
• Hands-on experience with SQL.
• Ability to solve customer-specific business problems and apply Snowflake solutions.
• Strong customer-facing written and verbal communication skills for varied technical and executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience with modern data technologies such as dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration tools, or Git.
• Experience with data science and machine learning technology.
