Solution Engineer

What you will do

• Present Snowflake technology, vision, roadmap features, and functionality to executives, technical contributors, prospects, and customers.
• Support evaluations throughout the sales cycle, including demonstrations, proofs of concept, solution design, and implementation.
• Translate Snowflake features into solutions for customer business problems and develop technical champions within accounts.
• Build competitive and complementary technology knowledge and position Snowflake appropriately.
• Collaborate with sales teams, solution engineers, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, ecosystem partners, and implementation partners.
• Contribute to account and territory plans, joint architectures, customer initiatives, and industry or customer events.

Requirements

• Experience working with modern data technologies such as dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration tools, and Git.
• Solution engineering or solution architecture experience in a SaaS environment, or relevant experience in analytics, data science, data engineering, or a related industry.
• Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including impromptu whiteboard sessions, presentations, and demos.
• Understanding of and experience with data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.
• Hands-on experience with SQL.
• Ability to solve customer-specific business problems and apply Snowflake solutions.
• Customer-facing communication skills for explaining the company vision to varied technical and executive audiences, both verbally and in writing.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies.
