Systems Engineer (GPU & AI Infrastructure)

Location: Fremont, California, United States; on-site five days per week

Salary: $200,000–$320,000 per year

What you will do

• Own hardware NPI, component qualification, and system validation from initial bring-up through production readiness.
• Diagnose Linux, BIOS/firmware, compatibility, thermal, and physical fitment issues.
• Investigate failures, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions through retesting.
• Build and improve Python and Bash tests supporting validation.
• Maintain validation plans, checklists, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, integration, and test teams.

Requirements

• Ideally 2–5 years of relevant experience, although this is flexible; hands-on capability and ownership are more important than years.
• Personal ownership of hardware NPI, server validation, or component qualification.
• Practical Linux diagnostics experience.
• Experience investigating BIOS/firmware or hardware compatibility issues.
• Python or Bash tests personally built or improved.
• Examples of taking hardware failures through diagnosis, resolution, and verification.

Nice to have

• Experience with server motherboards, CPUs, GPUs, memory, PCIe, storage, BMC/IPMI, or thermal testing.
