Cloud Platform Lead

Location: Hybrid working in Paris, France or Paddington, UK

What you will do

• Define and execute the cloud platform strategy, roadmap, governance frameworks, standards, and operational processes.
• Lead the architecture, engineering, modernization, scalability, resilience, security, and cost optimization of Azure and AWS platforms.
• Oversee platform availability, performance, monitoring, incident and problem management, lifecycle management, and complex technical escalations.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code, automation, CI/CD, GitHub Enterprise, GitOps, reusable platform components, landing zones, and reference architectures.
• Lead FinOps, cloud resource governance, security posture improvements, compliance, remediation, and risk management for regulated environments.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, coaching, and cross-functional coordination across cloud engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, data, AI, and business teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including 8+ years of hands-on Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineering experience.
• Expertise in designing, securing, and operating Azure and AWS environments in regulated contexts, including IAM, networking, compute, storage, container platforms, and HIPAA-eligible services.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform, CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or CircleCI, and Shell and Python scripting.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, cloud cost optimization, and FinOps practices.
• Ability to design secure, scalable, cost-optimized cloud architectures and solve complex technical and operational problems.
• Experience working across infrastructure, security, delivery, and diverse global teams; strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
• DevOps culture, Agile mindset, self-motivation, adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English and French are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Previous healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry constraints, GxP compliance, and regulated data environments.
• Experience working closely with Databricks platforms and AI teams.
