Infrastructure Platform Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Own CI infrastructure end to end, including reproducible multi-language pipelines, debugging, and performance optimization across large compute clusters.
• Build and maintain observability, alerting, runbooks, and incident response workflows for infrastructure.
• Own infrastructure as code and automate provisioning of hybrid cloud and on-prem resources from a single source of truth.
• Scale and maintain the Bazel monorepo across Python, C++, Rust, SystemVerilog, and ML workloads.
• Shape the infrastructure and platform experience used by every hirify.global engineer.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on CI/CD experience for large-scale products, including monitoring, performance debugging, and resolving pipeline failures at scale.
• 3+ years of experience with build systems, preferably modern cross-language systems such as Bazel, Buck, Pants, or Please, with emphasis on correctness, performance, and extensibility.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
• Working knowledge and practice of DevOps/SRE principles, including SLOs, alerting design, incident management, and on-call practice.
• Strong proficiency in at least one systems or scripting language used for tooling; Python is preferred, while Go or Rust are also relevant.
• A track record of shipping well-tested, maintainable developer tooling such as CLIs, CI integrations, and build or release automation.
• Additional eligibility checks may be required because the work is subject to UK, US, and other international export control regulations.
