Platform Engineer (Azure)

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom; agile working may allow remote work when agreed with the customer, Zenith, and the manager.

Salary: £57,000–£67,000 per annum plus annual bonus.

What you will do

• Build, operate, and continuously improve Azure cloud and platform capabilities for security, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Provide 3rd line engineering support across cloud infrastructure, platform systems, and IT services.
• Develop automated and self-service platform components for development and technology teams.
• Implement and maintain Azure servers, VM scale sets, AKS, firewalls, application gateways, networks, and Kubernetes using infrastructure as code.
• Create and maintain automation using scripting, including Azure DevOps multistage YAML pipelines.
• Collaborate with InfraOps, DevSecOps, and FinOps to remediate vulnerabilities, maintain patch compliance, and optimize cloud performance and cost.

Requirements

• Ability to design, configure, and maintain Azure web and application hosting platforms.
• Experience deploying Azure infrastructure using Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Strong technical knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
• Experience with Azure DevOps multistage YAML pipelines.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Proven technical knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure, including servers, networks, firewalls, and application gateways.
• At least 2 years of experience in a 3rd line Infrastructure, DevOps, or Platform Engineering role.
