Senior Staff Software Engineer, Agentic Applications (AI)

What you will do

• Own the technical architecture for quote-to-cash workflows spanning CPQ, deal management, ordering, subscriptions, billing, and revenue recognition.
• Design and ship LLM-powered agents for deal guidance, quote generation, proposals, approval insights, and pricing recommendations.
• Build evaluation, tracing, regression-testing, feedback, and quality systems for production agents.
• Design human-in-the-loop controls including approval routing, diff-based review, audit logging, and policy guardrails.
• Architect governed agent tools and MCP-style interfaces for CRM, ERP, pricing, product, contract, subscription, and billing data.
• Lead migration architecture, establish production-grade agent patterns, conduct architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and partner with Finance, Deal Desk, Sales Ops, Legal, and Platform Engineering.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership and ownership of large-scale production systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and operating LLM-powered or agentic applications in production, including agents, RAG pipelines, tool use, multi-agent orchestration, or generative-output evaluation frameworks.
• Strong backend and distributed-systems skills covering API and service design, data modeling, idempotency, consistency, transactional integrity, and observability.
• Experience designing human-in-the-loop systems with approval workflows, review interfaces, audit trails, and guardrails for probabilistic systems in regulated or high-stakes domains.
• Experience leading architecture for complex business domains, ideally quote-to-cash, order-to-revenue, billing, pricing, or other revenue-critical enterprise systems.
• Full-stack fluency across React/TypeScript, Python, Java, Scala or Go, and data platforms.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business workflows into clear agent and system architecture while working with non-engineering stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving technical execution without relying on positional authority.

Nice to have

• Experience with CPQ, deal management, subscription management, or revenue recognition in a high-growth SaaS or consumption-based business.
• Experience building or replacing enterprise SaaS applications such as Salesforce CPQ/Revenue Cloud, NetSuite, or Zuora.
• Experience with Databricks Apps, Lakebase, Unity Catalog, Mosaic AI Agent Framework, MLflow tracing, or evaluation.
• Familiarity with SOX controls, audit requirements, and financial-systems compliance.
