Principal Software Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: United States (Remote-First)

Salary: $155,000–$197,000 annual gross base salary plus variable compensation.

What you will do

• Own the architecture, scalability, performance, Core Web Vitals, edge caching, and internationalization of the global public web platform.
• Architect and deploy production-grade autonomous AI agents, multi-agent loops, tool-calling frameworks, LLM workflows, and RAG pipelines.
• Translate business and marketing roadmaps into resilient architecture, pragmatic milestones, and maintainable codebases with the Senior Engineering Manager.
• Lead integrations with marketing platforms, analytics suites, CDPs, CRMs, and systems such as Salesforce while maintaining web performance and security.
• Set engineering standards, conduct architecture and code reviews, and mentor mid-to-senior full-stack engineers.
• Collaborate with Platform and DevOps teams on CI/CD, container orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a Tech Lead, Staff, or Principal Engineer capacity architecting high-scale web platforms or distributed services.
• Production experience designing, building, and deploying autonomous AI agents and LLM-powered workflows, including structured tool or function calling and RAG; experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom agent architectures.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript, modern front-end frameworks such as React and Next.js, and backend services using Node.js or Python.
• Strong knowledge of SSR, SSG, ISR, CDN and edge platforms such as Cloudflare or CloudFront, REST/GraphQL APIs, AWS, Docker, and Terraform.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering management, product, and non-technical marketing stakeholders and turn ambiguous goals into actionable technical plans.

Nice to have

• Marketing Technology experience, including headless or decoupled CMS platforms, A/B testing engines, and conversion rate optimization.
• Experience integrating enterprise CRMs, marketing automation engines, and data pipelines such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Segment.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, WCAG, and SOC 2 compliance standards.
