Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: United States, remote

Salary: $169,600–$278,250 annually, plus equity, depending on geographic tier and experience.

What you will do

• Own the strategy, architecture, and operation of the Agent Platform for deploying, running, evaluating, governing, and improving agents and agentic workflows.
• Architect AI infrastructure including LLM and MCP gateways, guardrails, fallbacks, usage and cost controls, and model rollout policies.
• Design and operate agents and workflows that automate engineering and business work across teams.
• Lead Developer Infrastructure, including source control, CI, and developer tools that reduce builder friction.
• Define agentic tooling practices, enablement materials, adoption programs, and measurement loops for usage, reliability, cost, and productivity.
• Mentor engineers, partner cross-functionally, contribute validated requirements to hirify.global Cloud and SDKs, and participate in on-call while reducing operational burden.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and a record of leading the design, delivery, and operation of production-quality internal platforms or developer tooling.
• Experience using agentic coding tools such as Codex and Claude Code, including defining best practices and driving adoption across teams.
• Proficiency in one or more of Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or Java, with pragmatic, high-leverage technical judgment.
• Experience architecting and scaling workflow automation or internal tools such as CLI tools, services, GitHub automation, or cloud automation.
• Ability to balance standardization and flexibility while maintaining reliability, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Experience leading cross-functional collaboration, including translating ambiguous needs from non-traditional developers into scalable, adopted solutions.
• Ability to combine data and qualitative feedback to define success metrics, prioritize work, and measure impact.
• Clear written communication and documentation skills that enable self-service and scale knowledge.
