Software Engineer, Agent Delivery (AI)

Location: New York City, Flatiron; onsite five days per week. The role involves customer time both remotely and onsite, with travel expectations shared upfront.

Salary: $135,000–$180,000 annual base salary, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location; equity and benefits are additional.

What you will do

• Lead customer deployments from problem definition through production by designing, prototyping, building, and deploying AI agents and workflows.
• Embed in customer workflows, build relationships with operators, engineers, and executives, and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Make production design decisions across agent behavior, application logic, data, evaluations, security, and reliability.
• Connect agents to customers’ existing systems, APIs, and data while working with engineering and operations teams around technical constraints.
• Debug production failures, evaluate and improve agent quality, and support successful deployments after launch.
• Turn field learnings into reusable agents, integrations, evaluations, and frameworks that shape the core platform.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience building and owning production systems in high-growth startups or similarly demanding environments.
• Strong experience with APIs, integrations, authentication systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Proven ability to debug complex production systems.
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments with incomplete documentation and rapidly evolving requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
