Frontend Software Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; on-site. U.S. citizenship, nationality, lawful permanent residency, protected status, or eligibility to obtain required ITAR authorizations is required.

Salary: $120,000–$300,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Scope, architect, implement, and deploy critical applications across multiple product verticals.
• Develop software for Flow, the FactoryOS platform that models, manages, and automates complex factory networks.
• Build manufacturing automation products for quoting, CAM programming, and CMM programming.
• Develop software controlling robotic cells used in factories.
• Participate in product discovery with manufacturing and software experts.
• Build and iterate alongside engineers and factory operators.

Requirements

• Expertise in TypeScript and frontend web development, ideally with React and state management solutions.
• Deep understanding of the frontend ecosystem and a commitment to high-quality code and maintainable codebases.
• Experience designing APIs with REST and gRPC.
• Ability to develop, deploy, and maintain fullstack applications using a modern web stack.
• Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles.
• Must meet U.S. Government ITAR eligibility or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Strong product intuition, user empathy, and willingness to speak with users.
• Strong design skills and the ability to work independently of design support.
• Experience with Go, Python, C#, or C++.
• Experience with data visualization, video games, CAD/CAM software, or 3D environments.
• Experience developing and deploying high-performance web applications.
