Senior ASIC Design Engineer (Networking)

Location: Hybrid role based in Durham, North Carolina, United States; office attendance required an average of 2 days per week. US citizenship is preferred.

Salary: USD 140,000–321,000 annual base salary in North Carolina; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Architect complex modules and subsystems for high-performance networking chips.
• Define functional and micro-architecture specifications meeting power, area, and performance targets.
• Implement designs in Verilog or SystemVerilog and develop functional coverage and SVA for verification.
• Apply power-reduction techniques during architecture and implementation.
• Collaborate with physical design and verification teams on floorplanning, timing closure, frequency targets, and block validation.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to new college graduates and interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required; a Master’s degree is strongly desired.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and implement high-performance modules from specification through final netlist.
• Knowledge of computer architecture and networking protocols through prior work is strongly desired.
