EDA Cloud & Developer Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid

What you will do

• Build developer tools, services, APIs, and workflows that automate custom silicon development and improve engineering productivity.
• Design and operate large-scale regression systems covering scheduling, execution, results collection, triage, and reporting.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure, developer tooling, and cluster configurations.
• Design, provision, and operate cloud infrastructure and HPC clusters, optimizing scheduling, capacity, reliability, and cost.
• Develop data pipelines, databases, monitoring, and observability systems for regression results, infrastructure health, resource utilization, and engineering efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and collaborate with RTL, verification, physical design, emulation, and software teams to improve platform reliability.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Python or a similar programming language, with experience building reliable automation, tools, or infrastructure services.
• Deep expertise in at least one infrastructure area, such as Linux/HPC environments, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, storage, networking, or EDA development workflows.
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud infrastructure; Azure is preferred, with familiarity with Terraform or Bicep.
• Strong Linux knowledge covering processes, filesystems, networking, permissions, performance troubleshooting, and system administration.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Buildkite, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Ability to debug distributed infrastructure problems, identify root causes, and implement durable solutions.
• Ability to translate engineering requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions and own systems from design through deployment, monitoring, and operational improvement.
• Strong technical judgment, clear communication, collaboration, and curiosity about hardware development.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting ASIC or semiconductor environments, including EDA workflows, design verification, physical design, emulation, or formal verification.
• Experience operating large-scale HPC clusters or schedulers such as Slurm, compute farms, regression frameworks, build systems, and hardware toolchains.
• Experience with enterprise identity and authentication systems such as Entra ID, OpenLDAP, FreeIPA, or SSSD.
• Experience operating PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design, migrations, query optimization, and backups.
• Familiarity with distributed systems components, message queues, caching, artifact storage, backend services, high-performance storage, and data movement optimization.
• Experience managing EDA license servers, license utilization, or shared hardware-development infrastructure.
