Principal Engagement Manager (AI)

Location: On-site in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States

Base salary: $145,000–$215,000 annually, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Lead delivery of large-scale professional services engagements from kickoff through scaled adoption.
• Manage scope, timelines, risks, resources, delivery challenges, and expectations across multiple concurrent engagements.
• Partner with Sales, Solutions Architecture, FDE, and Product teams on customer campaigns, programs, and content.
• Understand customer needs and success criteria, develop valued solutions, and communicate customer value through success stories, service offerings, and metrics.
• Drive organizational change management as complex enterprises adopt AI-native workflows.
• Align internal and external stakeholders and resolve resource contention and scoping issues.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of end-to-end software development and delivery systems across technology, operations, and security/governance.
• Experience in senior customer-facing roles involving influencing, validating, negotiating, and executing with C-suite and technology audiences.
• Track record of identifying customer needs and implementing solutions.
• Experience owning projects and programs across Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and waterfall delivery.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including applying modern technologies such as AI agents and AI-native development tools to customer challenges.
• Excellent presentation skills for communicating project governance and delivery practices to internal and external executives.
• Strong orchestration, service delivery, and program management skills, including translating customer goals into structured program plans.

Nice to have

• Production-level implementation experience as an engineer or project manager.
• Experience delivering large, complex programs at a consulting firm, systems integrator, or software/cloud vendor.
