Senior Fullstack Engineer – Backend | Content Experience (Go)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; office-first work, normally four days per week. Candidates must already have the right to work and reside in Sweden. Relocation and visa sponsorship are not available.

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve backend services and APIs, with Go as the primary language for new development.
• Build solutions for content discovery, navigation, and presentation.
• Integrate services and platforms across hirify.global’s technology organisation.
• Work with distributed systems where performance, availability, scalability, and observability matter.
• Own solutions from implementation through production and continued development, including contributions to React and TypeScript clients.
• Drive technical initiatives, contribute to architecture decisions, and use AI tools in the development process.

Requirements

• Deep experience in backend development within modern production systems.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
• Comfort working in cloud-based environments and with modern engineering practices.
• Strong understanding of system design, performance, reliability, and observability.
• Frontend development experience and the ability to work across the stack when required.
• Ability to move between the bigger picture and technical detail, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and work with partially defined problems.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration in a cross-functional product team.
• Strong backend experience and the ability to learn new languages and technical environments quickly; prior Go specialization is not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go, React, TypeScript, or GraphQL.
• Experience with streaming or media platforms.
• Experience with search, recommendation systems, or personalised user experiences.
• Experience with high-traffic distributed consumer systems.
