Fullstack Engineer (Crypto Custody)

Location: Remote from Romania or one of the following locations: Brazil, Peru, Sweden, Colombia, Argentina, Cyprus, South Africa, Czech Republic, Hungary, Mexico, Chile, Poland, or Bulgaria

What you will do

• Design and deliver secure, scalable, high-performance custody solutions with product managers, architects, and DevOps engineers.
• Build and maintain TypeScript and Node.js backend microservices for custody, staking, and wallet services.
• Integrate blockchain networks and external systems for asset movements, transactions, and key management workflows.
• Contribute to React and Next.js frontend applications and operational user experiences.
• Develop Kafka-based event-driven systems and optimize data models, APIs, and distributed architectures.
• Own services across RFCs, design, deployment, maintenance, technical reviews, and engineering mentorship.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in fullstack or backend engineering within high-scale, high-availability systems.
• Expert-level Node.js and TypeScript proficiency with hands-on NestJS or similar framework experience.
• Deep understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, and CQRS/DDD design patterns.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and asynchronous event-based communication systems.
• Strong SQL database and performance-oriented schema design experience.
• Solid React knowledge, including modern frontend practices and state management with React Query, Context API, or custom hooks.
• Experience with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and component-driven architecture.
• Hands-on Docker, CI/CD, and observability experience with tools such as Prometheus and Splunk.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for distributed, cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of crypto protocols, staking mechanisms, and blockchain technology.
• Experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, or Rust.
• Background in financial systems, digital assets, custodial services, or other regulated environments.
