Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; hybrid working model

What you will do

• Design and develop customer-facing experiences, scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations for financial products.
• Own problems end to end, from understanding customer needs and shaping solutions to shipping products and learning from results.
• Explore AI-assisted approaches to prototyping, development, testing, debugging, and delivery.
• Balance speed, simplicity, scalability, and security in technical decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, the CTO, and engineering colleagues in Crete within a cross-functional crew.
• Share knowledge, challenge assumptions, and contribute to a continuously improving engineering culture.

Requirements

• Solid professional experience in fullstack development with strong frontend and backend skills.
• Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript, plus backend frameworks such as Node.js, Express.js, NestJS, .NET, or similar.
• Experience building APIs, working with relational databases, and developing scalable cloud-based applications, preferably using AWS.
• Interest in using AI to improve engineering practices and willingness to move beyond traditional development approaches.
• Ability to understand customer needs, find simple solutions to complex problems, take initiative, challenge ideas constructively, and own decisions.
• Ability to work collaboratively, share knowledge, and operate effectively without unnecessary hierarchy.
• Confident English communication is required; English is the shared working language.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience building AI-powered features or using AI coding agents and modern AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or other regulated environments.
• Open-source contributions or personal projects demonstrating curiosity and passion for technology.
