Project Leader / Sr Project Leader (Clinical Diagnostics)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid attendance required

Salary: $177,440–$221,800 per year at Director level; $216,640–$273,300 per year at Senior Director level. A discretionary annual bonus may be available.

What you will do

• Lead global cross-functional product development programs from feasibility and planning through execution and launch.
• Ensure on-specification, on-budget, and on-time delivery of projects and programs.
• Develop strategic scenarios and product development pathways by evaluating cost, time, risk, technical, regulatory, business, and operational requirements.
• Guide teams on product design, specifications, timelines, resources, scope, responsibilities, and roadmap trade-offs.
• Build effective matrix teams, remove roadblocks, manage risks, coach leaders and key talent, and maintain alignment toward delivery goals.
• Collaborate with Product Management on the product lifecycle and lead process improvement and change management initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in program execution, including end-to-end product lifecycle experience, with at least 5 years in biotechnology.
• Detailed knowledge and a proven track record in clinical diagnostic product development.
• Knowledge of regulatory and quality systems frameworks for design controls, validations, manufacturing, and laboratory processes.
• Experience managing complex systems and programs and making effective data-based decisions.
• Understanding of clinical diagnostic markets and customers, including translating customer requirements into product design.
• Experience leading in a matrix environment and inspiring teams to deliver results.
• Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy.
• Ability to build trusted internal and external relationships, communicate powerfully at all levels, work with an enterprise mindset, and develop team members.

• Master’s or PhD in life sciences, business, engineering, or a related field.
