Process Engineer III (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; relocation eligible; travel required up to 10% of the time.

Salary: $124,000–$171,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own experiments end to end, including design of experiments, wafer runs, metrology, analysis, and recommendations.
• Develop and optimize deposition and plasma-based processes for advanced logic interconnect on 300 mm chambers.
• Characterize films using thin-film metrology and analytical techniques, connecting process conditions with film properties.
• Partner with mechanical, electrical, and RF engineering teams on hardware requirements, test plans, and design reviews.
• Support hardware bring-up, qualification, and chamber troubleshooting through data-driven root-cause analysis.
• Run multiple experiment tracks in parallel and communicate results to cross-functional teams, management, vendors, suppliers, and partner groups.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 0–3 years of industry experience, or an MS with 2–5 years of industry experience.
• Conceptual and practical expertise in complex problem solving.
• Hands-on experience in semiconductor thin-film deposition or plasma processing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
