Technical Specialist - Managed Networks (Aruba)

Location: Macquarie Park, NSW, Australia; hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote or from home.

What you will do

• Deliver operational support for Aruba SD-WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi environments, resolving incidents within SLA and communicating proactively with customers and stakeholders.
• Own and prioritise critical incidents, major network faults, sensitive customer events, and escalations, maintaining accurate updates in ServiceNow.
• Execute deployments, site onboarding, edge-device configuration, orchestrator integration, firmware upgrades, policy updates, routing changes, and complex MACs.
• Maintain documentation and operational governance while following ITIL-based incident, problem, change, and transition management practices.
• Drive root-cause analysis, automation, process improvements, and optimisation of managed network and hosting solutions.
• Maintain technical knowledge, contribute to knowledge bases, sustain certifications, and provide technical leadership to internal teams and enterprise customers.

Requirements

• Advanced Aruba SD-WAN expertise, including overlay and underlay troubleshooting, routing, tunnel connectivity, QoS, Business Intent Overlays, firewall policies, changes, upgrades, and recovery through Aruba Orchestrator.
• Hands-on Aruba switching and routing experience, including Central On-Premises, VLANs, Layer 2/3 networks, redundancy, performance monitoring, and software lifecycle management.
• Specialist Aruba wireless expertise with Mobility Controller/Conductor and ClearPass, including WLAN services, authentication, NAC, roaming, security, client onboarding, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python and Ansible, managed services support, escalation management, advanced problem solving, network security, encryption, and large-scale enterprise solution delivery.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, including collaboration, mentoring, stakeholder management, creative problem solving under pressure, and customer focus.
• Engineering or ICT degree or Advanced Diploma.
• Aruba Certified Professional – Switching (ACP-S), Aruba Certified SD-WAN Deployment Professional (ACSDP), and Aruba Certified Mobility Associate/Professional (ACMA/ACMP) certifications.
