Data Scientist Apprenticeship - Level 6 - BBC Studios - London

Location: London - Television Centre; applicants must live within a commutable distance. The role includes at least one remote study day per week and training may involve travel across the UK.

Salary: £24,650 plus £5,441 London Weighting.

What you will do

• Explore and analyse commercial, advertising, and audience data to identify trends and generate insights.
• Support the development of dashboards, datasets, automated reporting, and data-quality improvements on Snowflake.
• Prepare data from multiple sources and make it available to stakeholders.
• Build and evaluate statistical and predictive models using machine learning and AI techniques.
• Contribute to the data science lifecycle from data cleansing and validation through production deployment.
• Study remotely for a BSc (Hons) in Data Science with BPP University for at least one day each week.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older by September 2027, have lived continuously in the UK for the previous three years, and be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the entire 36-month apprenticeship.
• This scheme is for non-graduates; applicants must not already hold a qualification in the same subject at the same or higher level.
• Must not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship.
• Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above, National 5 at C, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 104 UCAS points achieved or expected by the start of the scheme, including A Level/Higher Maths, an extended BTEC in Engineering with Engineering Maths, or an equivalent qualification.
• Interest in maths, data, machine learning, AI, and responsible adoption of new AI and machine-learning technologies.
• Problem-solving, organisation, negotiation, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Interest in the hirify.global, its public-service mission, and its values.
