Junior Data Quality Analyst (Oil Market Data)

What you will do

• Monitor data quality KPIs across multiple systems to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and gaps, escalating critical issues.
• Design, deploy, and maintain BI dashboards and reports showing data health insights to stakeholders.
• Use SQL and BI tools to investigate datasets, identify patterns, and resolve data quality challenges.
• Streamline data validation workflows through automation tools, prompt engineering, and modern AI techniques.
• Collaborate with Data Operations, Business Unit Engineers, Data Engineers, and BI teams to align data quality standards with business needs.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and provide accurate data analysis for stakeholder inquiries and operational decisions.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a data-focused role or internship, such as Data Analysis, BI, or Data Science.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid foundational SQL skills, including querying, filtering, aggregating, and joining complex tables efficiently.
• Practical familiarity with Python, GitHub, and Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation and profiling.
• Working experience with modern BI visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to take end-to-end ownership of data accuracy.
