Infrastructure Engineer - Nutanix Virtualized Infrastructure

Location: Betzdorf, Luxembourg; at least 60% onsite from the office

What you will do

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Nutanix HCI environments, including cluster health, capacity, lifecycle upgrades, storage, networking, and virtual machines.
• Manage virtualized workloads, templates, snapshots, migrations, provisioning, backup integration, and recovery procedures.
• Support Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, authentication, patching, hardening, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Deploy, operate, upgrade, and support Kubernetes clusters, including worker nodes, storage and networking integration, observability, backup, and security controls.
• Implement infrastructure as code and configuration automation with Terraform or similar tools and Ansible or comparable tools.
• Maintain high availability, disaster recovery, capacity planning, documentation, runbooks, and IT service management processes while coordinating with network, cybersecurity, application, and vendor teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, telecommunications, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, virtualization, systems administration, or data center operations.
• Hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, Prism Element, HCI operations, or comparable platforms such as VMware vSphere.
• Strong knowledge of compute, storage, networking fundamentals, backup and recovery, monitoring, automation, and infrastructure security.
• Experience supporting highly available, security-sensitive, or mission-critical environments.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken, is mandatory for operational communication, documentation, vendor coordination, and international or governmental projects.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain NATO, EU, national governmental, or other project-specific security clearance as required.
• Strong documentation, communication, analytical, troubleshooting, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in satellite communications, telecommunications, defense, or government sectors.
• Certifications such as Nutanix NCA/NCP, VMware VCP, Microsoft, Linux, ITIL, or security-focused certifications.
