Manager, Enterprise Architecture & Digital Transformation, IRIS2 (Aerospace)

Location: Betzdorf, Luxembourg, or Munich (Unterföhring), Germany; 60% onsite from the office

SES, together with consortium partners, is building and operating IRIS2, the European Union’s secure multi-orbit satellite constellation for secure connectivity and enhanced communications.

What you will do

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture and digital transformation roadmaps for IRIS2 programme execution.
• Align business processes, capabilities, systems, and digital solutions across engineering, manufacturing, integration and validation, operations, and programme management.
• Define the architecture and governance of engineering ecosystems covering requirements management, ALM, MBSE, systems engineering, verification and validation, PLM, configuration management, and digital thread implementation.
• Design programme management, information, data, and master-data architectures spanning planning, risk, change, cost, reporting, and dashboarding systems.
• Evaluate tools and oversee implementation of PLM, ALM, requirements, configuration management, programme management, reporting, and analytics platforms.
• Lead process harmonisation, stakeholder engagement, change adoption, interoperability, and coordination with implementation partners.

Requirements

• University degree in telecommunications, IT, aerospace, or satellite engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in aerospace, space, defence, telecommunications, or other complex engineering industries.
• Experience in enterprise architecture, digital transformation, or engineering systems integration, including large-scale programme environments.
• Knowledge of business architecture, capability modelling, solution architecture, integration design, enterprise architecture frameworks, information architecture, and governance.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering, PLM, ALM, configuration management, verification and validation, and digital engineering.
• Ability to translate functional requirements into practical tool configurations, with strong coordination, stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with EU, ESA, and/or national governmental institutions according to ECSS standards.
• Eligibility for ESA/EU SECRET personal security clearance is essential; willingness to undergo the required security clearance procedure.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter, Polarion, Jama, or Power BI.
• TOGAF, ArchiMate, INCOSE ASEP/CSEP, or equivalent enterprise architecture or systems engineering certification.
• PMP certification and ITIL 4 certification.
• Any other European language.
