Enterprise IT Architect (d/m/f)

Location: Remote, Soest, Germany; required travel is less than 50%.

What you will do

• Own enterprise architecture topics by defining solution intents, design principles, governance principles, methodologies, and architecture documentation aligned with strategy, technology, and governance.
• Consult senior management, the CIO/CTO, and B-level heads of Group Functions on enterprise architecture and decision-making.
• Lead application portfolio management and the Enterprise Architecture Board, and support the creation of cross-domain architecture boards.
• Evaluate technology and solution options, contribute to IT strategy and technology roadmaps, and support business and technical capability management.
• Ensure cybersecurity requirements are reflected in enterprise architecture designs and contribute to the CMDB and Change Advisory Boards where necessary.

Requirements

• Business and IT MA/BA studies.
• At least 10 years of experience as an IT Enterprise Architect, including ideally at least 5 years in an international company at group level.
• At least 5 years of experience in B2B IT, telecommunications, or a closely related industry.
• Hands-on experience with cloud architecture and security, preferably Azure; experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP hyperscaler platforms.
• Experience with online shops or B2B multichannel environments, B2B integration using APIs, messaging/event streaming and file transfer, and SAP S/4HANA or ECC ERP.
• Enterprise Architect certification is mandatory, such as TOGAF EA Practitioner or equivalent.
• MS Certified Cybersecurity Architect or CISSP, or an equivalent qualification demonstrating strong cloud security understanding; MS Azure Solutions Architecture certification or equivalent experience.
• Excellent business process knowledge, communication skills, customer orientation, group orientation, and ability to interact with C-level and group-level functions.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, a highly motivated personality, and evidence of tangible results through hands-on work.
• Excellent spoken and written English required.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity certifications, data-platform certifications, Agile Project Management or SAFe, and Service Management certification or experience such as ITIL.
