(Senior) Engineer, System Integration & Test, meoSphere (Satellite Systems)

Location: Betzdorf or Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg; Chicago or McLean, United States. Willingness to work 60% onsite from an office is required, with travel as needed for project realization.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and execute system integration, verification, validation, mission, interface, and end-to-end test activities across hardware, software, networks, and operational environments.
• Own SI&T work packages and deliver technical outputs for program milestones, test campaigns, and readiness gates.
• Develop and maintain test procedures, verification methods, configurations, success criteria, and traceable compliance evidence.
• Collaborate with spacecraft, ground systems, software, mission operations, networking, laboratory, supplier, and partner teams.
• Investigate anomalies, perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare technical documentation, test reports, verification records, anomaly reports, and readiness review inputs while improving SI&T processes and supporting less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant engineering experience, including ownership and delivery of system integration, verification, validation, mission testing, test infrastructure, or test automation activities in complex multidisciplinary environments.
• Ability to independently own technical work packages and deliver results with limited supervision.
• Experience in at least one of: Mission Test & Pathfinder Integration, Systems Verification & Validation, or Test Infrastructure & Automation.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering, requirements management, verification and validation processes, and technical problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience developing and executing test procedures, verification activities, or automated test capabilities.
• Knowledge of configuration management, requirements traceability, defect management, and engineering documentation practices.
• Ability to analyze technical data, identify issues, develop practical engineering solutions, and collaborate across disciplines and stakeholder groups.
• Must be eligible for a “SECRET” security clearance in accordance with national regulations and EU/ESA/NATO equivalents.

Nice to have

• Experience in satellite, aerospace, telecommunications, defense, networking, or other complex system-of-systems environments.
• Familiarity with model-based systems engineering, test automation frameworks, simulation environments, or mission test environments.
• Experience supporting formal engineering reviews and readiness assessments.
